Ingredients
Scale
Beef Mixture
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 teaspoons garlic, minced
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper
- 1 tablespoon chili garlic sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
Eggs
- 3 large eggs, room temperature
Ramen Noodles
- 4 packages beef ramen noodles
Garnish
- ½ teaspoon sesame seeds
- 2 teaspoons green onion, sliced
Instructions
- Cook Ground Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef, salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper. Cook until browned, about 8 minutes.
- Drain Grease and Add Garlic: Drain excess grease from the skillet. Add minced garlic and cook for one additional minute to release its flavor.
- Combine Sauces: Reduce heat to low. Stir in chili garlic sauce and rice wine vinegar. Mix well, then remove the pan from heat and cover to keep warm.
- Prepare Soft-Boiled Eggs: In a small saucepan, add about 2 inches of water and bring to a boil. Gently add the eggs and boil for 6 minutes. Immediately transfer eggs to a bowl of ice water to stop cooking. Once cooled, peel the eggs and set aside.
- Cook Ramen Noodles: In a large saucepan, bring 4 quarts of salted water to a boil. Add ramen noodles and cook for 3 minutes or until tender. Reserve 1 cup of the noodle cooking water, then drain the noodles.
- Combine Noodles and Beef Mixture: Return the beef mixture to low heat. Add reserved noodle water, flavor packets from the ramen, and the cooked noodles. Toss everything together until well combined and heated through.
- Serve: Divide the ramen into 6 bowls. Top each serving with sesame seeds, green onions, and half a soft-boiled egg. Serve warm and enjoy.
Notes
- Spicy Beef Ramen takes classic ramen noodles to the next level with a spicy and savory ground beef mixture.
- The soft-boiled egg adds a creamy texture that complements the spicy beef.
- You can adjust the crushed red pepper and chili garlic sauce quantities to your preferred spice level.
- Use fresh green onions and sesame seeds for the best garnish flavor and texture.
