- 1 (26-ounce) bag frozen meatballs
- 1/4 cup Frank’s Red Hot Original Sauce, more to taste
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup apricot preserves
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
Instructions
- Prepare Slow Cooker: Spray the slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray and add the frozen meatballs.
- Mix Sauce Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the Frank’s Red Hot Original Sauce, honey, apricot preserves, brown sugar, soy sauce, and cornstarch.
- Pour Sauce Over Meatballs: Pour the sauce over the meatballs and stir to coat well. Cook on LOW for 3-4 hours, stirring periodically.
- Serve: When the meatballs are heated through, serve them fresh or keep warm until ready to serve.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of Frank’s Red Hot Sauce to control the spiciness.
- You can use other types of preserves, such as peach or orange marmalade.
- For a thicker sauce, mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with 1 tablespoon of water and stir it into the sauce during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
- Serve these meatballs with toothpicks as an appetizer or over rice as a main course.
- If you do not have brown sugar white sugar will work.
