Description

These Slow Cooker Honey Buffalo Meatballs are a sweet and spicy appetizer or main course that’s incredibly easy to make. Frozen meatballs are simmered in a flavorful honey buffalo sauce, creating a tender and delicious dish perfect for parties or casual meals.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 (26-ounce) bag frozen meatballs
  • 1/4 cup Frank’s Red Hot Original Sauce, more to taste
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup apricot preserves
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Prepare Slow Cooker: Spray the slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray and add the frozen meatballs.
  2. Mix Sauce Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the Frank’s Red Hot Original Sauce, honey, apricot preserves, brown sugar, soy sauce, and cornstarch.
  3. Pour Sauce Over Meatballs: Pour the sauce over the meatballs and stir to coat well. Cook on LOW for 3-4 hours, stirring periodically.
  4. Serve: When the meatballs are heated through, serve them fresh or keep warm until ready to serve.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of Frank’s Red Hot Sauce to control the spiciness.
  • You can use other types of preserves, such as peach or orange marmalade.
  • For a thicker sauce, mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with 1 tablespoon of water and stir it into the sauce during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
  • Serve these meatballs with toothpicks as an appetizer or over rice as a main course.
  • If you do not have brown sugar white sugar will work.
