Description

This Red, White and Blue Mojito is a festive and refreshing cocktail featuring layers of colorful berries, mint, rum, and a splash of citrus. Perfect for patriotic celebrations or summer gatherings.

Ingredients

Units Scale

Red Layer:

  • 1/2 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 ounce simple syrup
  • 68 fresh mint leaves
  • 2 small strawberries, sliced
  • 2 raspberries

Blue Layer:

  • 1/2 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 ounce simple syrup
  • 68 fresh mint leaves
  • 2 blackberries
  • 4 blueberries
  • 2 ounces light rum
  • 1/2 ounce club soda

Instructions

  1. Red layer: In a cocktail shaker, combine 1/2 ounce lime juice, 1/2 ounce simple syrup, mint, strawberries, raspberries, and muddle together. Add 1 ounce rum, stir, and pour into a glass over ice.
  2. Blue layer: Repeat the process with blueberries and blackberries. Layer over the red mixture in the glass. Top with club soda.
  3. Garnish with mint, lime, or berries. Add more club soda if desired.

Notes

  • You can use granulated sugar instead of simple syrup.
  • For a simpler version, use mint simple syrup and mix all berries together.
  • For a non-alcoholic version, use a rum alternative or omit the rum and increase club soda.
