Instructions
- Prepare the Baking Dish: Spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Add Bread Layer: To the bottom of the prepared baking dish, add about half of the bread cubes, ensuring even distribution.
- Layer Meat and Cheese: Top the bread with half of the turkey (about ¾ cup), half the ham (about ¾ cup), ½ cup of Swiss cheese, and ½ cup of cheddar cheese. Repeat the process with the remaining bread, turkey, ham, and both cheeses to form layered sections.
- Prepare Egg Mixture: In a large bowl, combine the eggs and milk. Whisk together until well combined to create a custard mixture.
- Combine Layers: Pour the egg mixture evenly over the bread, meat, and cheese layers to saturate the casserole.
- Refrigerate: Cover the casserole with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour or up to overnight to allow the bread to absorb the egg mixture.
- Preheat Oven: When ready to bake, preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake the Casserole: Remove the plastic wrap and bake the casserole for 40 minutes, or until the edges turn golden brown and the casserole feels set without jiggling in the center.
- Cool and Add Toppings: Let the casserole cool slightly before dusting with confectioners’ sugar.
- Serve: Serve warm, accompanied by raspberry preserves for dipping or spreading.
