Description

Irish Salad, also known as Irish Flag Salad, is a fresh and vibrant dish featuring layered colors reminiscent of the Irish flag with spinach, pears, oranges, feta cheese, pistachios, and fresh basil, all tossed in a light citrus vinaigrette.

Instructions

  2. Slice the fruit: Thinly slice 1 pear and cut 2 oranges into slices or supremes for layered presentation.
  3. Layer the salad: On top of the greens, arrange the sliced pears, orange slices, crumbled or cubed feta cheese, roasted and chopped pistachios, and chopped fresh basil in layers to mimic the Irish flag colors.
  4. Make the vinaigrette: In a small bowl, whisk together 3 tablespoons olive oil, 1 ½ tablespoons orange juice, 1 teaspoon honey, 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar, 1 tablespoon lime juice, and salt to taste until well combined.
  5. Dress the salad: Drizzle the vinaigrette evenly over the salad layers just before serving to keep the ingredients fresh and vibrant.
