These Hot Honey Air Fryer Chicken Tenders are crispy, flavorful, and perfectly sweet and spicy. Made with a crunchy cornflake breading and drizzled with a homemade hot honey sauce, they are a delicious and easy-to-make meal for any day of the week.

For the Chicken:
- 2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts, sliced into strips
For the Egg Wash:
- 1 large egg
- splash of water
For the Cornflake Breading:
- 2 cups crushed cornflake cereal
- 1 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
For the Hot Honey:
- 2 Tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup honey
- 3 – 4 Tbsp hot sauce
Miscellaneous:
- cooking oil spray
- minced fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare: Add cornflake cereal to a resealable plastic bag and crush. Whisk egg and water in one bowl. In another bowl, combine cornflake crumbs, salt, pepper, paprika, cayenne, thyme, onion powder, and garlic powder. Preheat air fryer to 400°F.
- Bread chicken: Coat chicken in egg mixture, then in cornflake crumbs. Transfer to a plate.
- Air fry: Place chicken in air fryer basket, spray with oil, and air fry at 400°F for 8-10 minutes.
- Make hot honey sauce: Heat butter, add honey and hot sauce, simmer for a minute.
- Drizzle and serve: Drizzle chicken with hot honey sauce, garnish with parsley, and enjoy!
Notes
- This recipe makes 10 chicken tenders, serving 4-5 people.
- Store-bought hot honey can be used as a shortcut.
