Description

Sweet and savory Honey Garlic Steak Bites slow-cooked to tender perfection with a sticky honey soy glaze, garlic, and a hint of chili for a flavorful, easy-to-make meal perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale

Steak Bites

  • 3 lbs. sirloin
  • 2-3 Tbsp. cooking oil (can use sesame oil)
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ¼ tsp. black pepper

Sauce

  • ½ cup honey
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 6 garlic cloves (minced)
  • ½ tsp. red chili flakes
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • ¼ cup salted butter

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Skillet: Heat the cooking oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat to get it hot enough for searing.
  2. Sear the Steak Bites: Add the sirloin pieces to the skillet and season them evenly with salt and black pepper. Sear on all sides until they are nicely browned, about 2 minutes per batch. Avoid overcrowding by working in batches if necessary.
  3. Transfer to Slow Cooker: Once browned, move the steak bites into your slow cooker to prepare for slow cooking.
  4. Mix the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, red chili flakes, and cornstarch until smooth and well combined.
  5. Add Sauce and Butter: Pour the sauce mixture over the steak bites in the slow cooker. Cut the salted butter into small cubes and scatter them evenly over the top.
  6. Slow Cook: Set the slow cooker to LOW and cook the steak bites for 5 hours, allowing the flavors to meld and the meat to become tender.
  7. Serve: After cooking, give the steak bites a gentle stir to coat in the sauce, then serve warm and enjoy your sticky, flavorful meal.

Notes

  • Sticky, sweet, and savory—these steak bites make an amazing flavor-packed meal any day of the week.
  • For best results, sear the steak in batches to avoid steaming the meat.
  • Adjust chili flakes to taste if you prefer less or more heat.
  • This recipe works well with sirloin, but you can try other tender cuts.
  • Serve with steamed rice or vegetables to complete the meal.
