Description

A refreshing and vibrant Honey Berry Kombucha Smash cocktail featuring fresh blueberries, raspberries, kombucha, honey, and ginger beer, garnished with mint or basil. Perfect for a healthy, lightly sweetened beverage with a fruity punch and fizzy finish.

Ingredients

Scale

Fruits

  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1/2 cup fresh raspberries

Liquids

  • 1 12-ounce bottle kombucha (preferably ginger or strawberry flavor)
  • 4 ounces ginger beer

Other

  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • Fresh mint or basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook Blueberries: Place the blueberries and honey in a saucepan and heat over medium-low heat for 4 to 5 minutes until the berries burst and become juicy.
  2. Muddle Berries with Kombucha: Turn off the heat and transfer the blueberry mixture to a jar or bowl. Add the fresh raspberries and about 1/2 cup of kombucha. Muddle the berries and kombucha together until they are somewhat smashed.
  3. Prepare Glasses: Fill two glasses with crushed ice.
  4. Assemble Drink: Divide the smashed berry and kombucha mixture evenly between the glasses. Top off each glass with more kombucha, leaving space for the ginger beer.
  5. Finish with Ginger Beer and Garnish: Add ginger beer on top of each glass and garnish with fresh mint or basil as desired.

Notes

  • Use ginger or strawberry-flavored kombucha for the best flavor combination.
  • Adjust the amount of honey to taste depending on sweetness preference.
  • Crushed ice helps keep the drink cold and refreshing.
  • Fresh herbs like mint or basil add an aromatic touch and can be substituted based on preference.
  • This drink is non-alcoholic and suitable for a healthy, low-calorie refreshment.
