These Greek Chicken Skewers with Feta Fries are a flavorful and satisfying meal that combines juicy marinated chicken skewers with crispy potato fries topped with savory feta cheese. Perfect for a quick and delicious dinner!


Ingredients

Skewers

  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 shallot, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp chipotle chili powder
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 13 tbsp harissa sauce (or use hot sauce)
  • 1 tbsp lemon zest
  • Salt and black pepper
  • 1 1/2 lb chicken breasts, cut into bite-size chunks
  • 12 cups Tzatziki sauce
  • 1/2 cup garlic tahini (recipe in notes)

Feta Fries

  • 4 russet potatoes, cut into 1/4-inch-thick matchsticks
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 cup mixed herbs – dill, basil, parsley
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 clove garlic, grated
  • 2 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese

Instructions

  1. Mix the marinade: In a bowl, combine olive oil, shallots, garlic, oregano, chili powder, honey, harissa sauce, lemon zest, salt, and pepper. Add chicken, toss, and let sit for 10 minutes.
  2. Preheat the oven: Preheat oven to 450°F.
  3. Skewer the chicken: Thread marinated chicken onto skewers and bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
  4. Make the fries: Toss potatoes with olive oil, garlic powder, cayenne, and pepper. Bake for 15-20 minutes, flip, and bake for 15 more minutes.
  5. Prepare the feta topping: Combine herbs, lemon zest, garlic, sesame seeds, and feta. Toss fries with the mixture and season with salt.
  6. Serve: Serve chicken skewers and fries with Tzatziki sauce and garlic tahini. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Garlic tahini recipe: Blend 1/2 cup tahini, 1/4 cup water, 2 cloves garlic, 2 tbsp lemon juice, and salt until smooth.
