Description

This Ghost S’mores Dip is a fun and festive twist on classic s’mores, perfect for Halloween or any spooky gathering. Featuring melted semi-sweet chocolate topped with ghost-shaped marshmallows baked until golden and bubbly, it’s served warm with graham crackers for dipping. Mini chocolate chips create adorable ghost eyes, making this easy-to-make dip both delicious and visually playful.

Ingredients

Scale

Dip Ingredients

  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream, warmed
  • 1 bag ghost marshmallows (or 4 packages ghost Peeps)
  • Mini chocolate chips, for ghost eyes

Serving

  • Graham crackers, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven and Prepare Chocolate Base: Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C). In the bottom of a 9-inch ovenproof skillet, baking dish, or pie dish, evenly spread the semi-sweet chocolate chips. Pour the warmed heavy cream evenly over the chocolate chips to help them melt smoothly.
  2. Add Ghost Marshmallows: Arrange a single layer of ghost marshmallows on top of the chocolate and cream mixture, ensuring the entire surface is covered.
  3. Decorate Ghost Faces: Place mini chocolate chips onto the marshmallows to form eyes and mouths. Note that any pre-drawn faces on the marshmallows will fade during baking, so adding these chocolate chip features will keep the ghostly expressions visible.
  4. Bake the Dip: Bake in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the chocolate has melted completely and the marshmallows are golden and puffed.
  5. Serve Warm: Remove the dip from the oven and serve immediately with graham crackers for dipping into the gooey, spooky treat.

Notes

  • You can substitute heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter version, but the texture may be slightly less creamy.
  • Use a heat-safe skillet or dish to avoid cracking in the oven.
  • Adjust the baking time slightly if your marshmallows are larger or smaller than average.
  • For a richer flavor, use a mix of semi-sweet and dark chocolate chips.
  • This dip is best enjoyed fresh and warm; leftovers can be reheated gently.
