Description

This Garlic & Herb Vinaigrette is a simple, versatile dressing bursting with flavor. Made with olive oil, red wine vinegar, and a medley of dried herbs, it’s perfect for drizzling over your favorite salads or using as a marinade for proteins. Ready in just 5 minutes, this quick homemade dressing is both healthy and delicious with balanced tangy, garlicky, and herbaceous notes.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • Base Ingredients
  • 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/3 cup red wine vinegar
  • Flavor Enhancers
  • 1 Tablespoon honey
  • 2 teaspoons dijon mustard
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • Herbs & Seasonings
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil leaves
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley leaves
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients
Add all of the ingredients to a mason jar with a lid or any small, sealable container. This allows the dressing to mix thoroughly and keeps it fresh.
  2. Mix the Dressing
Seal the container tightly and shake it vigorously until all the ingredients are well combined. Ensure that the honey and mustard blend evenly for a smooth consistency.
  3. Refrigerate to Store
Store the vinaigrette in the refrigerator until ready to serve. The cool temperature will preserve the flavors and freshness.
  4. Serve & Enjoy
Shake the vinaigrette well before serving to re-emulsify the mixture, and drizzle it generously over your salads or other dishes.

Notes

  • After refrigeration, the dressing may thicken. To make it easy to pour, allow it to come to room temperature for a few minutes or run the sealed container under warm water for 15-20 seconds.
  • This dressing works wonderfully as a marinade for chicken, fish, or roasted vegetables.
  • Adjust salt and pepper to taste, if necessary.
