Ingredients
Scale
Sliders
- 1 (12-count) Sweet Hawaiian Rolls
- 2 Tablespoons Honey Mustard Spread
- 1 lb. Deli Turkey Breast
- 8 to 12 slices Cheddar Cheese
Garlic Butter
- 4 Tablespoons Salted Butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder (or 2 garlic cloves, minced)
- 1 teaspoon Dried Parsley
Optional
- Pickle Chips
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F to prepare for baking the sliders.
- Prepare Rolls: Remove the entire 12-count block of Hawaiian rolls from the package without separating. Using a long serrated bread knife, carefully slice the rolls horizontally into two layers. Place the bottom layer onto a foil-lined or lightly greased 9×13 baking pan or cookie sheet. Spray the foil lightly with non-stick cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Layer Ingredients: Spread about 2 tablespoons of honey mustard evenly over the cut side of the bottom layer of rolls. Layer half of the deli turkey breast evenly over the honey mustard. Then, arrange the cheddar cheese slices over the turkey so each slider will have cheese.
- Repeat Layers: Add the remaining turkey evenly over the cheese, followed by the remaining cheddar cheese slices. Place the top layer of rolls over the cheese, completing the sandwich layers.
- Make Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, combine the melted salted butter, garlic powder or minced garlic, and dried parsley. Stir well until mixed.
- Apply Garlic Butter: Using a pastry brush, generously brush the garlic butter mixture all over the top of the rolls. Let some butter drip down the sides and onto the bottom edges for maximum flavor.
- Cover and Bake: Cover the sliders loosely with aluminum foil, spraying the foil side that will touch the rolls with non-stick cooking spray to prevent sticking. Bake in the preheated oven for 18 to 24 minutes until the cheese is fully melted and the tops are lightly golden brown.
- Rest and Serve: Remove the sliders from the oven and let them cool for about 5 minutes. If desired, add pickle chips on top after baking. Use a sharp knife to cut the sliders into individual servings and serve warm.
Notes
- Recommended brands include Beaver Brand Honey Mustard Spread, Boar’s Head Turkey, Sargento Sharp or Medium Cheddar Cheese Slices, and King’s Hawaiian Rolls for best flavor and texture.
- Reheating: Warm leftover sliders in a preheated 300-degree F oven for about 10 minutes until the cheese is melted or use 15-second intervals in the microwave for quicker reheating, though the rolls may lose crispness.
- Storing: Store leftover sliders in an airtight container or wrapped tightly with foil in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
