Macerated Strawberries:

  • 1 cup (~150 g) strawberries, diced
  • 1 tbsp sugar

To Assemble:

  • Milk of choice
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Prepare the strawberry syrup: In a pot, combine strawberries, sugar, honey, and lemon juice. Bring to a boil, then simmer over medium heat for 10 minutes until thick and syrup-like. Cool in the fridge.
  2. Prepare macerated strawberries: Toss diced strawberries with sugar until coated. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to draw out juices.
  3. Assemble: In a glass, add strawberry syrup, macerated strawberries, ice, and top with milk. Serve and enjoy!
