Description

This Slow Cooker Turkey and Gravy Recipe offers a simple and flavorful way to prepare tender, shredded turkey breast simmered in a delicious, creamy gravy. Perfectly seasoned and slow-cooked to perfection, this comforting dish is ideal served over mashed potatoes for a hearty meal.

Ingredients

Scale

Turkey

  • 3 lbs. boneless turkey breast
  • ½ tsp. black pepper
  • ¼ tsp. paprika

Gravy Mixture

  • 10.5 oz. can cream of chicken soup
  • 1.41 oz. Pioneer turkey gravy packet (or two 0.87 oz. packets of any other brand)
  • 2 cups chicken broth or chicken stock
  • 3 sprigs fresh thyme

Instructions

  1. Prepare Turkey: Add the turkey breast to the slow cooker pot. Sprinkle evenly with black pepper and paprika to season the meat.
  2. Mix Gravy: In a separate bowl, whisk together the cream of chicken soup, turkey gravy packet, and chicken broth until smooth and well combined.
  3. Combine Ingredients: Pour the prepared gravy mixture over the turkey in the slow cooker. Add the fresh thyme sprigs on top.
  4. Slow Cook: Cover and cook on LOW for 6 hours until the turkey is tender and can be easily shredded with a fork.
  5. Shred Turkey: Remove the turkey from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Discard the thyme sprigs and any stems.
  6. Mix and Serve: Return the shredded turkey to the slow cooker and stir it into the gravy. Serve hot, ideally over mashed potatoes, and enjoy!

Notes

  • The easiest turkey and gravy you will ever make! The turkey and gravy cook simultaneously, making preparation fast and convenient.
  • Remove thyme stems before serving for better texture and flavor balance.
  • Great for meal prep and leftovers, as the flavors deepen over time.
