Delightfully festive and easy-to-make Cornflake Wreaths are a perfect holiday treat. Ready in just 15 minutes, they are ideal for Christmas celebrations or whenever you want a quick, fun dessert.

Ingredients

Scale

Wreath Base

  • 1/2 cup salted butter
  • 10 ounces mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon green food coloring, more as desired
  • 5-6 cups cornflakes

Decoration

  • 72 cinnamon imperials (red hots) or mini M&M’s

Instructions

  1. Melt Butter and Marshmallows: In a large pan over medium heat, melt 1/2 cup of salted butter. Once melted, add 10 ounces of mini marshmallows and stir continuously until the marshmallows are fully melted and the mixture is smooth.
  2. Add Flavor and Color: Remove the pan from heat and stir in 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract and 1/2 teaspoon of green food coloring. Add more food coloring gradually until you reach the desired shade of green, stirring to combine evenly.
  3. Mix in Cornflakes: Add 5 to 6 cups of cornflakes into the marshmallow mixture. Gently stir until all cornflakes are well coated with the green marshmallow mixture.
  4. Shape Wreaths: Line a baking dish or countertop with parchment paper. Butter your hands to prevent sticking, then take 2-inch spoonfuls of the cornflake mixture and shape each into a wreath shape on the parchment paper.
  5. Decorate: Place three cinnamon imperials (red hots) on one corner of each wreath to mimic berries and add festive color.
  6. Store: Allow to set, then store the wreaths in a covered container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
