For the chicken and sauce:
- 12 oz bottle garlic parmesan wing sauce
- 2 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
For the pasta:
- 16 oz box rotini pasta
Garnish:
- Fresh parsley, chopped
- Red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Prepare the ingredients: Add the chicken breasts, cream cheese, chopped onion, garlic Parmesan wing sauce, and milk into the crockpot. Do not stir at this stage.
- Cook the chicken: Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 3-4 hours or on high for 1-2 hours until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
- Shred the chicken: Remove the cooked chicken from the crockpot, shred it using two forks, and return it to the crockpot. Mix in the sauce and shredded chicken until well combined.
- Cook the pasta: Meanwhile, cook the rotini pasta in boiling salted water according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain well.
- Combine pasta and sauce: Add the drained pasta to the crockpot with the shredded chicken and sauce. Stir to coat the pasta evenly. Mix in the grated Parmesan cheese.
- Simmer everything together: Cover the crockpot again and cook on low for 10-15 minutes to allow flavors to meld and pasta to absorb the sauce.
- Serve: Dish out hot, garnish with chopped parsley and red pepper flakes for a touch of spice and freshness.
Notes
- Adjust the spice level by adding more or less red pepper flakes according to taste.
- For a richer sauce, sprinkle extra Parmesan cheese before serving.
- If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of milk to loosen it up.
- This dish can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
