Salmon Bites:
- 1 lb. salmon filet skin and bones removed and sliced into 1 inch (2.5cm) cubes
- 1/3 cup tamari or soy sauce
- 1 Tablespoon lemon juice fresh squeezed
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 3 Tablespoons honey
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon minced or grated ginger
- 1 teaspoon chili garlic sauce or 3/4 teaspoon sriracha
- 1 Tablespoon avocado oil
- 1 Tablespoon butter or dairy-free butter
Garnishes (optional):
- Sesame seeds
- Chopped cilantro
- Chili crisp oil, sriracha or garlic chili sauce (optional to make spicier)
Instructions
- Marinate Salmon: In a medium bowl, mix tamari, lemon juice, paprika, honey, garlic, ginger, and chili sauce. Add salmon cubes to the mixture and marinate for 5 minutes.
- Cook Salmon: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add avocado oil, then sear salmon cubes for 2 minutes. Add butter if using. Flip salmon cubes, pour in marinade, and let simmer while cooking for 1-2 minutes.
- Finish and Serve: Remove salmon from heat, thicken sauce if needed, spread any leftover sauce on salmon, garnish with sesame seeds and cilantro, and serve.
Notes
- To prep salmon, remove bones and skin.
- Best eaten fresh, store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- To make in the air fryer, preheat to 400°F (205°C) and follow instructions adjusting cook time accordingly.
