Description

These crispy parmesan broccoli sticks are a delicious, quick, and easy snack or side dish. Coated with flavorful seasonings and grated parmesan cheese, they are baked or air-fried to crispy perfection and pair perfectly with a lazy tzatziki dip.

Broccoli Sticks

  • 4 large broccoli stalks, peeled
  • 2 tbs olive oil
  • 3 tbs grated parmesan cheese
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp Italian herb blend
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 3/4 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 425℉. Do not use parchment paper for this recipe.
  2. Slice the broccoli: Cut the peeled broccoli stems into medium thin, long sticks.
  3. Prepare the seasoning mixture: In a large bowl, whisk together olive oil, 3 tbs grated parmesan, minced garlic, paprika, chili powder, onion powder, Italian herb blend, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
  4. Coat the broccoli sticks: Add the broccoli sticks to the bowl and toss until well coated. Then, dip one side of each stick in freshly grated parmesan cheese.
  5. Arrange on the baking sheet: Transfer the broccoli sticks to your baking sheet, placing them cheese-side down.
  6. Bake until crispy: Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until they become crispy. For air frying, set the temperature to 400℉ and cook for 8 minutes.

Notes

  • Make sure to not use parchment paper, as it helps achieve a crisp texture.
  • You can substitute Lazy Tzatziki with another dip of your choice, such as ranch or a spicy aioli.
  • Adjust the seasoning quantities according to your taste preference.
  • For even cooking, ensure the broccoli sticks are cut to a uniform thickness.
