Description

These Burger Bowls are a deconstructed take on a classic burger, with seasoned beef mince, crispy potato chips, fresh lettuce, dairy-free or regular cheese, pickles, and a flavorful burger sauce.


Ingredients

Spice Mix:

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano or mixed herbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

For the Bowls:

  • 23 medium potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 500 grams lean beef mince
  • Lettuce, shredded
  • Cheese, dairy-free or regular
  • Pickle slices

For the Burger Sauce:

  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon mustard, dijon or yellow
  • 1 teaspoon pickle juice from the jar of pickles
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

Instructions

  1. Prepare Spice Mix: Combine all the spice mix ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.
  2. Prepare Potatoes: Cut the potatoes into chips, pat them dry, toss with olive oil and half of the spice mix, then bake or air fry until crispy.
  3. Cook Beef: Brown the beef mince with the remaining spice mix in a pan until darkened and cooked through.
  4. Make Burger Sauce: Mix together all the burger sauce ingredients in a bowl.
  5. Assemble Bowls: Divide the cooked potatoes among bowls, add lettuce, beef mince, cheese, pickles, and drizzle with burger sauce before serving.
