Ingredients

Units Scale

For the Dressing:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon finely diced yellow onion
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/8 teaspoon Kosher salt

For the Salad:

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 6 cups shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup dill pickles, sliced
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Make the Dressing: In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, diced onion, ketchup, mustard, sweet pickle relish, white vinegar, paprika, and salt. Whisk together until well combined.
  2. Cook Ground Beef: In a large non-stick skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until cooked through. Remove from heat and drain any excess fat. Mix in salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Assemble Salad: Divide shredded iceberg lettuce between plates. Top with cooked ground beef, shredded cheddar cheese, diced onions, and sliced dill pickles.
  4. Dress and Garnish: Drizzle the prepared dressing over the salad and top with sesame seeds. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use lean ground beef to minimize excess grease.
  • Adjust the seasoning in the ground beef to your taste.
  • For a spicier dressing, add a dash of hot sauce or cayenne pepper.
  • You can add other burger toppings like tomatoes or shredded carrots.
  • Serve immediately for best texture.
