Bacon:
- 3 slices bacon
Toast:
- 4 slices crusty bread, toasted
Avocado Spread:
- 2 avocados, ripe
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
Tomato Topping:
- 2 Roma tomatoes, sliced
Additional:
- Flaky sea salt & black pepper, to taste
- Fresh basil, shredded, for garnish
Instructions
- Bacon: Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and spread the bacon on the sheet. Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until desired crispness. Drain on a plate lined with paper towels and let cool.
- Toast: Toast your sliced bread and set aside to cool slightly.
- Avocado Spread: Halve your avocado and remove the seed. Use a spoon to remove the avocado from the skin. Place ½ an avocado on a piece of toast. Use the back of a fork to mash the avocado directly on the toast. Drizzle with lemon juice.
- Tomato Topping: Add sliced tomatoes in a layer on top of the avocado. Sprinkle with crumbled bacon, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- Finish: Place tomato slices on top of avocado. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and shredded fresh basil.
