Description

Enjoy a delightful and satisfying Avocado Toast with Tomato, a perfect blend of creamy avocado, juicy tomatoes, crispy bacon, and fragrant basil on toasted crusty bread.


Ingredients

Bacon:

  • 3 slices bacon

Toast:

  • 4 slices crusty bread, toasted

Avocado Spread:

  • 2 avocados, ripe
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Tomato Topping:

  • 2 Roma tomatoes, sliced

Additional:

  • Flaky sea salt & black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh basil, shredded, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Bacon: Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and spread the bacon on the sheet. Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until desired crispness. Drain on a plate lined with paper towels and let cool.
  2. Toast: Toast your sliced bread and set aside to cool slightly.
  3. Avocado Spread: Halve your avocado and remove the seed. Use a spoon to remove the avocado from the skin. Place ½ an avocado on a piece of toast. Use the back of a fork to mash the avocado directly on the toast. Drizzle with lemon juice.
  4. Tomato Topping: Add sliced tomatoes in a layer on top of the avocado. Sprinkle with crumbled bacon, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  5. Finish: Place tomato slices on top of avocado. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and shredded fresh basil.
