These Air Fryer Zucchini Chips are a healthy, crispy, and delicious snack that’s incredibly easy to make! With just a few basic ingredients, you’ll have a guilt-free treat that’s perfect for munching. Whether you’re looking for a low-calorie option or a keto-friendly alternative, these zucchini chips are the perfect choice. Serve them as a snack or a light appetizer, and enjoy their irresistible crunch in just a few minutes!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 medium zucchini
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Slice the Zucchini
Begin by slicing your zucchini into thin 1/8 inch (0.3 cm) rounds. Use a mandoline slicer for even results, ensuring all the chips cook consistently.
  2. Prepare the Slices
Pat down the zucchini slices with a paper towel to remove any excess moisture. This step is key to achieving crispy chips in the air fryer.
  3. Preheat the Air Fryer
Preheat your air fryer to 325°F (162°C). This ensures the zucchini chips start cooking as soon as they’re placed in the fryer.
  4. Season the Zucchini
In a medium-sized bowl, toss the slices with olive oil, sea salt, and black pepper. Ensure every slice is evenly coated, and separate any that might be stuck together.
  5. Cook the Zucchini Chips
Place the seasoned zucchini slices in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are arranged in a single layer. Cook for 8-12 minutes, flipping halfway through. After 8 minutes, start checking the slices; remove those that have browned and crisped up, and continue cooking the remainder. Repeat this process for all the slices.
  6. Cool and Serve
Allow the cooked zucchini chips to cool on a plate or rack. They will crisp up even more as they cool. Serve immediately for the best crunch!

Notes

  • If you don’t have a mandoline slicer, you can use a sharp knife, but try to slice as evenly as possible for consistent frying.
  • Monitor closely towards the end of cooking to ensure the chips don’t burn.
