Description
Crispy, golden brown air fryer toasted ravioli coated in seasoned breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese, perfect as a guilt-free snack or appetizer served with marinara dipping sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
Ravioli
- 20 ounce package refrigerated ravioli
Breading and Seasoning
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon coarse salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup Italian seasoned Panko breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (shaker style/powder works best)
Garnish and Dipping
- Fresh chopped parsley, for garnish
- Marinara sauce, for dipping
Instructions
- Prepare Ravioli: Open the package and carefully separate any ravioli that are stuck together; set aside. Do not boil as per package directions.
- Make Egg Mixture: In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Coat Ravioli in Egg: Place the ravioli into the egg mixture and toss to combine, ensuring every piece is thoroughly coated. Set aside.
- Prepare Breadcrumb Mixture: In a medium bowl, mix together the Italian seasoned Panko breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese.
- Bread Ravioli: Press the egg-coated ravioli into the breadcrumb mixture a few at a time, coating well on all sides. Shake off any excess breadcrumbs.
- Arrange for Air Frying: Transfer breaded ravioli to a baking sheet in a single layer, not touching. If layering is needed, place a sheet of plastic wrap between layers.
- Preheat Air Fryer & Prepare Basket: Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. If your air fryer requires preheating, set it to 400°F (204°C) for 5 minutes.
- Air Fry Ravioli: Place ravioli in a single layer in the air fryer basket, spray the tops with cooking spray, and air fry for 4 to 5 minutes until crispy, golden brown, and heated through. Cook in batches if necessary.
- Garnish & Serve: Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and additional grated Parmesan if desired. Serve immediately with marinara sauce for dipping.
Notes
- This recipe uses an air fryer instead of deep frying, providing a crispy texture with less guilt.
- Perfect as a delicious snack or appetizer paired with marinara sauce.
- If desired, you can also bake the toasted ravioli in the oven as an alternative method.
