Description

These Air Fryer Deviled Eggs are a crispy twist on a classic appetizer. The eggs are cooked in the air fryer to perfection, filled with a creamy yolk mixture, and topped with paprika and fresh dill for a flavorful finish.

Ingredients

Units Scale

For the Deviled Eggs:

  • 8 large eggs, divided
  • 2 Tbsp. mayonnaise
  • 2 1/2 tsp. sweet pickle relish
  • 1 1/2 tsp. Dijon mustard, divided
  • 1 1/2 tsp. yellow mustard, divided
  • Kosher salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper

For Coating:

  • 1/2 cup (60 g.) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup finely ground Ritz cracker crumbs (from 15 to 20 crackers)
  • 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. dried parsley flakes
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Olive oil or other neutral cooking spray

For Garnish:

  • Ground paprika, for dusting
  • Fresh dill, for serving

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Place 6 eggs in an air fryer basket. Cook at 250°F for 17 minutes. Transfer eggs to an ice bath to cool and peel.
  2. Step 2: Slice eggs in half; remove yolks. Mix yolks with mayo, relish, mustards, salt, and pepper. Transfer mixture to a piping bag and refrigerate.
  3. Step 3: Prepare dredging stations with flour, egg mixture, and crumb mixture.
  4. Step 4: Coat egg whites in flour, egg, and crumbs. Spray with cooking oil and air fry until golden and crispy.
  5. Step 5: Fill egg whites with yolk mixture, dust with paprika, and garnish with dill.

Notes

  • You can customize the spice level by adjusting the amount of cayenne pepper in the coating.
  • Ensure the egg whites are thoroughly cooked and crispy before filling them with the yolk mixture.
